ARNO
COST (France)

Arno
Cost is one of France's most talented up-and-coming music producers
and djs. His music has been making huge waves across the world
for a few years now, and at such a young age, Arno is set to join
the DJ elite in the near future.
Music has always fascinated Arno. At a very early age his parents
immersed him in pop and disco; and he first began producing back
in 1999 in his bedroom. His influences and inspirations derive
from all genres including Disco, Italo-Disco, "The French
Touch" (Daft Punk, Benjamin Diamond, Alan Braxe, Philip Zdar
etc.) and modern day heroes such as Stuart Price, Axwell, Lifelike
and Eric Prydz.
Arno truly defined his style with the hit track "Magenta," composed
alongside Arias. Their song garnered support from some of the world’s
top dj talent including Pete Tong, Tom Novy, Steve Angello and
Sebastian Ingrosso. First released back in December 2006 in Germany,
it became one of the most-played tunes at "The Amsterdam Dance
Event." Coupled with a storming mix by Dave Spoon the track
reached dizzying heights and was inarguably THE track of 2007.
This brought him to the attention of the management team Club Class
Music Management, whom he joined in early Jan 2008.
Continuing with his Serial Records releases, “Apocalypse” came
next, a stunning monster of a record. “Souvenir” soon followed
again with critical acclaim, then the stunning “Darling Harbour”.
All were showcased on home city label Serial Records, and were
of course licensed to the cream of labels everywhere.... “Cyan”
was another pivotal moment for Arno; the track being played just
about everywhere, by everyone. Move onto Spring 2010 and the latest
track (by Cost / Arias and Michael Feiner) – “The Days to Come”
has been signed to US major Big Beat / Atlantic. The label holding
this down as an early 2011 release which they believe to be a huge
crossover record.
In between these stunning originals, Arno collaborated with friend
John Dahlback on “Golden Walls” which was signed to Nero Recordings
in Sweden. Massively well received again, remix offers flooded
in, Arno sifting his way through these and only agreeing to do
tracks he felt he could bring a different dimension to. Zoo Brazil
– “Kalle” (with Norman Doray), MOS Australia’s Dirty Laundry –
“Hate Me” / David Guetta – “When Love Takes Over” (with Norman
Doray) / Goldfraap – “Alive” and Jared Dietch & Mitch LJ ft
Polina – “Limit is the Sky” all got the magic touch from this in
demand Parisian talent.
Arno’s talent as a DJ is undeniable as well; from featuring as
a resident for F*** Me Im Famous in Ibiza 2 summers in a row, to
being asked to play for the Swedish House Mafia at Pacha in 2010.
Worldwide touring abounds, with no sign of it stopping anytime
soon, Arno looks like he’ll be around for some time to come.
