LINNEA SCHOSSOW (Sweden)

Linnea Schössow was born in 1988 in the south of Sweden in a little town called Helsingborg.

She spent her youth travelling to concerts in Sweden and overseas and at the age of 14 her older brother showed her a Tiesto in Concert DVD with a live vocal performance from Sarah McLaghlan on the anthem Delerium - Silence.

This was the moment Linnea knew that she wanted to become a producer, singer and songwriter and from that day forward she started to immerse herself in all things Electronic Dance Music. In 2009 the dream began to take shape when Linnea began to write, sing and produce her own material in her home studio.

A year later after alot of sleepless nights and experimenting she became confident enough to collaborate and teamed up with producers such as Jo Micali, Ben Nicky and last but not least, Marcus Schossow.

She got her first official track "Linnea Schossow - Someone like you" signed to Armin van Buurens 'Armada' label.Miss Schossow sings an emotional vocal on this track and early indications point to it being a 2010 smash! On remix duties is DJ MAG TOP 100 artists, Myon and Shane 54 from Hungary and also in the package is the popular Swedish trancer, Sebastian Brandt. Armada also picked up the track, Ben Nicky feat. Linnea Schossow - Tears which was named Tune of the Week on ASOT, got to number 1 in trance charts and featured on Ministry of Sound and Gatecrasher compilations.

Linnea is also working with a host of other top producers from around the globe, bringing her exquisit songwriting to life through her now highly sought after vocal skills. Along side the vocal collaborations she is already working on her next original track which will be unleashed this winter.

Linnea Schössow has her own hosted radio show on DI.FM airing once a month. 'Auditory' enforces the style of music Linnea plays in her live DJ sets and leaves the listener in no doubt that theres nothing pink and fluffy about this female artist. Linneas mix is a no nonsense, stylish blend from progressive and vocal gems to mind altering trance and fithy tech trance dirt!

Linnea is flying the flag for female trance artists in her native Scandinavia and has offically joined the ranks of the most impressive up and coming talent to immerge in planet trance this year.

Sweden has a fine wealth of trance talent and with her journey underway, its only a matter of time until Linnea Schossow is a house hold name on the global trance circuit!
